Suitable for pushchairs, the Panorama Trail leads from the top station up to the summit cross at 1,768 m. Along the way, the Panorama Bend opens up the finest view of the route, and at the top a 360° view of around 150 peaks awaits.

Eleven discovery stations lead you through the raised bog on the Rossbrand and show which animals and plants live here. With the Moor Explorer Handbook from the valley station, the trail turns into a puzzle trail, and anyone who finds the solution word gets a little surprise at the ticket desk.

With Filzi, the Rossbrand dragonfly, you visit seven stations through the raised bog and meet its animal residents. A stamp awaits at each one, and seven make a full card. Just right for kids aged four to seven, and the playground beckons at the end.

Right at the Papagenobahn top station, with a sun terrace and a 360° view from the Bischofsmütze to the Dachstein. The Picture Book Loop and the Moor Trail start right next door, and this is the last e-bike charging station before the summit.

In a quiet, sunny spot with sweeping views over the surrounding mountains. The Steinalm is easy to reach for hikers of all ages and in any weather, making it a reliable destination for a relaxed family day.

A rustic hut just like in the old days, right in the middle of the Rossbrand with views of the Bischofsmütze, Dachstein and Rötelstein. On the table: homemade treats such as porcini soup, apricot dumplings and homemade juices.

Small, rustic and right at the end of the high-level hiking trail, with an impressive view of the Bischofsmütze and Dachstein. The menu features mountain farm produce and game from the hut’s own hunt, much of it organic, and there’s a small mountain shop too.

Nestled in the forest below the top station, with a sun terrace and views all the way to Styria. Bacon, sausages and cheese come from the hut’s own farm, while the kids romp around the playground or visit the animals in the small animal enclosure.

You can’t get any higher on the Rossbrand: the Radstädter Hütte stands right by the summit cross, in the middle of a 360° view of around 150 peaks. Breakfast on the mountain, hearty hut cooking and sweet treats are served on the large sun terrace.

Snack stop, schnapps distillery and mountain pine distillery under one roof. The Warter family serves homemade cakes and strudel, along with spirits from their own distillery and a view of the Dachstein.
